Islamabad: At least 25 people have died and 36 injured in four road accidents on Saturday morning.The deadliest crash occurred in Mansehra, where a passenger bus travelling from Rawalpindi to Skardu plunged into a deep ravine killing 10 people and injuring 10 others at Gandian in Mansehra district.
Five people were killed and two injured in a collision between a van and a trailer near Kot Momin in district Sargodha, while four persons died and five others wounded in another road accident near Dharabi area in ChakwalIn Sargodha, five persons of the same family were killed and two children were injured when a car collided with a trailer in Kot Momin area. Police told that the car was enroute to Lahore from Islamabad when the accident took place on the motorway near Kot Momin area.The victims that included two women were identified as Amir Shakoor, Basit, Asma Bibi, Shakoor and a child Arifa Bibi. Two injured children were identified as Fayaz and Aimen Bibi who were shifted to hospital for treatment. The deceased belonged to Lahore.In another accident that took place in Sukkur, five persons were killed and several injured when a truck collided with a pick-up van near a vegetable market. The bodies and injured were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities while the sources feared that the toll in the accident could rise.
